This wooden bowl was hand carved by Zimbabwean-Zambian master artisans Alfred and Twanda. Originally from the TokaLeya Tribe on the Zimbabwean side of the Mosi-oa-Tunya Falls, the pair now work, live, and raise their families in Mukuni Village in Zambia.
As functional as it is beautiful, each bowl is sealed with food grade natural oils.
Due to natural variations in wood tone, each bowl's shade will be unique.
To ensure longevity please hand wash only. Bowls should be seasoned with food grade oil as needed as they age.
Kaleya sources these bowls from Alfred and Twanda of Original Arts via Abanya, a collaborative network that supports makers from Zambia’s Southern Province and contributes to conservation efforts in the region.

All pieces, unless otherwise requested, are shipped directly from the US. We currently ship domestically and internationally via U.S.P.S. First Class. All orders $100 & above ship free. A flat rate shipping fee of $7.95 applies to all orders under $100.

Returns
Returns are accepted on all purchases if initiated within 10 days of delivery.
To initiate a return or exchange, please complete the following steps:
1. Email hello@shopkaleya.com with your order number and description of items you wish to return or exchange.
2. Send your item(s) back. Unless items are somehow defective, Kaleya will not cover return shipping costs.
3. When returned items are received Kaleya will initiate a full refund via original method of payment within 24 hours.
